Dear Patients:

Scarpidis Aesthetics – New York Plastic Surgery continues to care for our cancer and reconstructive patients during this time. We are operating with our patients and staff’s safety as our primary concern.

If you have a scheduled appointment with us, please plan to keep this appointment unless you are experiencing symptoms like fever, cough, congestion, sore throat, runny nose or shortness of breath.

Please rest assured that we are taking every possible measure to help safeguard our patients and staff. We are currently taking the following action:

  • All re-scheduling fees are being waived
  • We will call all patients 24 hours in advance of their appointment to confirm and check if they are experiencing any symptoms or feeling unwell
  • We are advising that all patients do not bring any relatives/friends to their appointments unless absolutely necessary
  • We provide hand cleaning supplies upon entering/leaving our office
  • We are leaving the door to our office propped open so patients do not need to touch door handles
  • Our patient waiting area is wiped down thoroughly every hour
  • Pens, IPads, Materials that are shared among patients are thoroughly cleaned between each patient
  • Our exam rooms, door handles, coat hangers are disinfected between each patient that we see
  • We have removed all magazines and reading materials in our waiting room

In addition, the CDC recommends the following

The most important steps to take are the same as for every cold and flu season:

  • Stay home when you are sick.
  • Practice good hand hygiene and cough and sneeze etiquette.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
  • Plan how you will take care of sick family members. Make plans for childcare if you are sick or if your child is sick. Have a thermometer at home so you can check for fever if you or a loved one feels ill.
  • Try to get a few extra months’ worth of your prescription medications, if possible.
  • Stay informed – check the CDC site regularly for new updates.

If in doubt, please do call our office and speak to one of our nurses on (212) 951-0505.
