Facial Fillers
Are you tired of seeing creases, lines, and wrinkles? Many of these facial flaws can be resolved with the use of facial fillers. These fillers restore lost volume in specific areas, including cheeks, chin, temples, and around the lips, or to plump the lips themselves. The type of filler used to restore a younger, smoother look will vary, based upon the area to be treated.
What Can Facial Fillers Treat?
Facial fillers are just one of the methods that could be used to restore aging skin, or to enhance a certain area. These fillers can do wonders in treating the following:

What are Facial Fillers Made Of?
Each product is different in how it is produced and what it contains, but facial fillers generally are made up of one or more of these substances:
Hyaluronic Acid:Â This acid naturally occurs in the skin, and functions to retain moisture. As we age, less of the substance is produced. Fillers from synthetically produced hyaluronic acid often contain a mild painkiller to make the treatment more comfortable. The fillers containing hyaluronic acid include Juvederm, VOLUMA, and the Restylane family of fillers.
Poly-L-lactic Acid:Â is a medication that is used to stimulate collagen growth which helps to restore facial volume and the look of fullness to wrinkles and folds over time.
CaHA:Â Radiesse, a popular filler, contains CaHA, or Calcium Hydroxylapatite. This substance is present naturally in our bodies, primarily in the bone structure. Made up of tiny particles suspended in a gel, that functions well for deeper wrinkles, and produces longer term effects.
Plumper Lips: Facial Fillers
Many people are dismayed to see their lips slowly losing the plump quality, as well as definition. Various fillers can restore or enhance the lips, making them more appealing and attractive. The critical issue in any lip plumping is the skill with which it is applied, achieving a more attractive look that is subtle – not shocking. Most lip plumping fillers are made of hyaluronic acid, and each brand varies in thickness and consistency. Choosing the right filler is important. The first step is to have the condition of your lips and surrounding tissue evaluated at our clinic, so you get the results you envision.
